The STEAM Ambassadors at CSUSM are a cohort of future teachers concentrated on bringing art and science into the classroom. Under the guidance of CSUSM professors focused on educational literacy and the integration of art and science, and in collaboration with The New Children's Museum in San Diego, these next generation educators will lead a workshop on the kits that they have developed around themes in art and science.

Join the STEAM Ambassadors for a hands-on STEAM experience for educators. Step into the shoes of youth participants to see what is fun and engaging about art and science. Workshop take-aways include:

  • Learning how the integration of art and science builds confidence and empathy in young students.
  • Partaking in an art and science exercise that explores how we see the world and how the eye sees.
  • Demystifying the science of light and color while building a rainbow maker to hang in your window.

For the CSUSM STEAM Ambassadors and for the New Children's Museum, learning is a magical adventure. Join us in this STEAM adventure!
