The media program at College of the Desert is equipping and empowering students to be multimedia storytellers in a digital world. Engaging instructors who have real working industry experience are training future filmmakers, news anchors, producers, writers, deejays, sports reporters, and unique content creators. The media program offers many degrees, certificates, and courses in film, radio, television, journalism, and mass communication to help students get entry-level jobs or transfer to a four-year university. Students will gain practical experience working with the College’s Film Club, nationally-recognized radio station KCOD, award winning newspaper The Chaparral, and a new magazine, Discover.

Join us to find out more about the certificates and degrees we, the College, offers, meet several professors and students, and see some of the work the College is currently producing. Working in the film industry IS within your reach, and the College would like to share with you the path offered!
