Louisa Higgins, Arts Administrator and Jeannine Flores, Los Angeles County Office of Education Arts & STEAM Coordinator are continuing to promote their yearlong project on behalf of CCSESA. Their revised unit of the Creativity at the Core Module 12 is entitled Leadership in Arts Education.

The module itself is packed full of many meaningful resources that consist of PowerPoint slide decks, webinars, downloads, and links. Because of the breadth and depth of the materials offered, we have been introducing it just a bit at a time. There will be another portion of helpful information in the coming month!

The fourth resource we would like to introduce to a broader audience is the PowerPoint entitled “Arts Partnerships.”

Written and presented by Leonardo Bravo, curator, artist, and cultural producer from Los Angeles, California. The learning outcomes for this presentation are:

Develop an understanding of the benefits of arts community partnerships for schools that promote high quality arts education for all students.
Gain knowledge of the types of partnerships that can promote culturally responsive education through the arts.

We are grateful to CCSESA for allowing RCOE and LACOE the opportunity to create this resource for educators throughout California. We also appreciate the incredible work of the expert contributors and production team who assisted in producing the module.
