Community Schools Partnership. Coordinating services for the whole child and their community

The Riverside County Office of Education partnered with the Southern Inland Regional Technical Assistance Center to launch their community schools initiative in 2021. The initiative serves Riverside County school districts and their schools who had been approved for the California Community School Partnership Program (CCSPP) grant.

The transformative nature of the initiative has allowed the community to be strengthened by partnerships and evidence-based practices that provide for equitable and whole-child focused schools and instruction. Communities are positively impacted by the collaboration between leadership and community organizations that provide supports and services for students, families, and communities.

The California Community Schools framework is situated within state and federal systems and initiatives, built on proven practices and foundational learning but scaling out the supports necessary for our students to thrive. This visual represents the coordinated efforts required within and among systems to create transformational change for the students of California public education.
