This summer institute is designed to provide Southern California administrators, teachers, leaders, families, students and the community with an opportunity to learn about or enhance their knowledge in the area of ethnic studies. Participants will probe the what and why of ethnic studies and explore new topics in ethnic studies or emerge into existing topics. Teachers and leaders may be moving beyond emerging topics and bridging into topics that will advance their thinking and expertise. Participants will leave with practical tools and knowledge to start or enhance their ethnic studies courses or programs.
